Canada Post adds postal services to the Shoppers Drug Mart on Almon Street in Halifax

Ottawa (Ont.) – Canada Post is pleased to welcome Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacist/owner Adam Somers, at 6025 Almon Street in Halifax, as the most recent addition to its retail network in Halifax. The new postal outlet opens for service today, offering all standard Canada Post products in addition to extended business hours.

“As the country’s home delivery company, Canada Post must be proactive in responding to the ever-changing needs of our customers, which are showing a noticeable shift towards online shopping and use of our parcel delivery system,” says Doug Jones, Senior Vice-President, Delivery and Customer Experience at Canada Post. “Partnering with local entrepreneurs, such as Mr. Somers, enables us to meet such needs and to continually improve services for consumers.”

The new postal outlet will offer the standard postal services including parcel pickup, stamps and shipping, post office boxes, money orders, government forms including Revenue Canada and Passport Canada, and debit and credit card payments. Services will be available six days a week from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
