Canada Post today announced the finalists for the 2011 Canada Post Community Literacy Awards. The finalists in two categories, Individual Achievement and Educator, were chosen by a committee of judges from Canada Post from entries submitted from across the country. Literacy advocates from organizations across Canada will determine the ultimate winners.

"The 26 stories told by these inspirational learners and dedicated educators are what the Canada Post Community Literacy Awards celebrate. Everyone who has made the journey to improve their literacy skills, along with the people who helped them achieve their goals is already a winner," said Liz Farquhar, Director, Corporate Events, Sponsorship Programs and Donations.
